DESCRIPTION:Registration is 8-8:30. \nLocation – Loon Lisle Nature Reserve. \nKids 2 to 16 Years old. \nFree fishing Weekend.  \nKids should arrive at the Pavillion to register and receive a goody bag for returning to their favorite fishing hole.  Save all the fish that is caught for the prizes are awarded based on the total weight of the fish caught.  All fishing must be at Loon Lake! \nReturn to the Pavillion no later than 11am and get your catch weighed.  If you do not wish to keep your catch they will be placed in an aerator and returned to the lake. \nGrab a hot dog\, chips and a drink while waiting for the fish totals to be tallied.  Kids eat free and a free will offering is collected for the adults. \nTrophies will be handed out to the top three of each age group.  Every child gets a prize! \nTeaching the next generation to fish is the ultimate prize! Hope to see you all there!

DESCRIPTION:The annual Independence Day weekend fireworks display will begin as the skies darken. We anticipate this year’s show to be as exciting as ever! \nSince the fireworks will be shot off barges again this year\, we ask that boats keep a safe distance from the barge which will be anchored off shore between the Loon Lisle Nature Reserve and Brower’s Point. Also\, after 4:00PM\, we ask all wake boats to stay as far away from the barges as possible for the safety of the workers and volunteers running fuses to the explosives for the fireworks show. \nThank you to all those who donate and volunteer to help make the Loon Lake fireworks show great\, year after year!

DESCRIPTION:The annual Independence Day weekend fireworks display will begin as the skies darken. We anticipate this year’s show to be as exciting as ever! \nSince the fireworks will be shot off barges again this year\, we ask that boats keep a safe distance from the barge which will be anchored off shore between the Loon Lisle Nature Reserve and Brower’s Point. Also\, after 4:00PM\, we ask all wake boats to stay as far away from the barges as possible for the safety of the workers and volunteers running fuses to the explosives for the fireworks show. \nThank you to all those who donate and volunteer to help make the Loon Lake fireworks show great\, year after year!

SUMMARY:5.5K Run/Walk
DESCRIPTION:The Loon Lake 5.5K Run/Walk is an RDFI Chip timed Community Run/Walk.  Runners/walkers of all ages and skill levels are welcome.  Runners from 5 to 75 participate with lot of groups of family and friends.  The Loon Lake community routinely comes out to cheer and encourage runners.  The Race begins at the Loon Lisle Nature Reserve on S 600 W and runs counterclockwise around the lake for 3.4 miles\, with a few hills and many scenic lake views.  Awards are given out for top finishers and ribbons for top age groups winners for both men and women.  The race is run by volunteers and all proceeds/donations help our not-for-profit Association keep Loon Lake beautiful and “A fun safe\, and scenic community”.  Come out and join the fun. \nRegister online at http://runsignup.com/loonlakerunwalk \nRace day registration is also accepted. \nDetails: \nFor additional information or questions on the Loon Lake Run/Walk please contact Scott Davis via email – mailto://LoonLakeRunDir@gmail.com

DESCRIPTION:The 28th Annual Independence Regatta will be held at 5:00. Buoys marked “LLSYC” will be set out in the lake just prior\, marking the course for the race.  Please don’t remove them! \nWant to join in on the fun? Sail your boat out to the race committee boat at the downwind point of the course prior to the race start time.
