On September 25, the Loon Lisle Nature Preserve Committee will be hosting a Bluebird House Workshop for the youth of Loon Lake. Time is 10 a.m. to noon and will be held at the Milestone, Treat, Newman Barn on 7722 N. Arnold Rd. Each youth must be accompanied by an adult.
Stephanie Pierce will be our Building Supervisor. Stephanie will be sending out an event invitation on Facebook. You will need to pre-register for this event.
We have supplies for 12 bird houses to be made, most all materials have been donated. Therefore, there is no charge for this workshop. However, we are still in need of acrylic craft paint and sponge brushes. If you would like to donate those, please let us know. Should there be any houses leftover, those will be available for a donation.
A house may be made by a single youth, or you could make a family house. Houses will be personalized by those making them. The finished houses will be hung at the north end of the Preserve.
We ask that if you have a cordless drill to please bring it. If you do not, one will be available for your use.
Thanks, and we are looking forward to a fun morning.
